Franchise Opportunities By Industry
Find the Industry That Fits the Way You're Built.
Franchise ownership comes in many forms. The industry you choose shapes everything … the role you play day to day, the customers you serve, the investment required, and the lifestyle the business supports.
Below you'll find all 12 industries represented in our portfolio. Each one includes a full breakdown of the categories within it, the ownership models that fit best, and what corporate professionals need to know before exploring any specific brand.
What Corporate Professionals Ask Before Exploring Industries
-
Do I need experience in an industry to buy a franchise in it?
In most cases, no. Franchise systems are built to train owners, not hire experts. What matters far more is whether you can manage people, follow a system, and run a business. The technical skills live in your team and your franchise support structure. Your job is to lead the operation. We work with candidates every day who build successful businesses in industries they knew nothing about before the process.
-
How do I know which industry is actually right for me?
You probably don't, yet. And that's normal. Most candidates come into this process with a preconceived idea of what they want, and many of them end up in something completely different once they understand how their skills, financial picture, and lifestyle goals map to specific business models. The starting point is always you, not the industry. That's what the early stages of our process are designed to clarify.
-
Are some industries better suited to a manage-the-manager model?
Yes, significantly. Home services, commercial cleaning, senior care, and several B2B service categories are routinely built for owners who manage a team rather than deliver the service themselves. Others, particularly in food and beverage or fitness, tend to be more hands-on, especially early on. Understanding which ownership model fits your goals is one of the first things we map out before you look at a single brand.
-
Which industries have the lowest investment requirements?
Service-based models across several categories, including home services, business services, and some commercial cleaning concepts, often have lower entry points, sometimes in the $80,000 to $150,000 range. Food and beverage and brick-and-mortar retail tend to require significantly more capital. That said, investment range should follow your financial picture and your goals, not just what's cheapest. We help you understand what makes sense for your specific situation before you narrow by category.
-
Can I explore multiple industries at the same time?
Yes, and often that's the right approach. Our process typically introduces candidates to two or three opportunities across different categories so you can compare business models side by side. That comparison is often where the real clarity comes from. Falling in love with the first option you see is one of the most common mistakes in this process.
-
What if I'm interested in an industry but there are no territories available in my market?
Territory availability is a real constraint and one of the practical filters we run early. If a brand you're interested in doesn't have open territory where you want to operate, that matters. We have visibility into availability across our portfolio, and we factor that in before you invest time exploring a concept that can't work in your market.

After owning businesses in the past, and then returning to corporate America during an economic slowdown, I knew when the market was stable I would want to own a business again.
